Cookie policy

This cookie notice explains what the Bytesnitch marketing site stores in your browser. Analytics are off by default.

What runs in the browser

The marketing site is a static site. It does not need an account cookie to show pages. The contact form does not set a tracking cookie. When NEXT_PUBLIC_PLAUSIBLE_DOMAIN is set, Plausible Analytics loads a first-party script that counts page views without an analytics cookie. Cloudflare Turnstile on the contact form may set a short-lived challenge cookie while verifying the visitor; that is bot protection, not advertising tracking.

Hosting providers may keep their own connection logs outside the enquiry database. That is separate from the SQLite table, which does not store IP addresses. The privacy notice explains the enquiry fields. A hosting log is not the same control as a cookie you can refuse in the browser.

We do not use advertising cookies or third-party ad networks on this site. If we add a script that sets advertising storage or that shares page views beyond the Plausible setup described here, this notice will be updated before that change goes live. Until then, pages load, the contact form posts to the API, Turnstile may run when configured, and Plausible may count views without an analytics cookie when its domain flag is set.

Essential operation of the contact form may rely on short-lived challenge storage from Turnstile when that integration is enabled. Refusing that challenge can prevent a successful enquiry submission; the rest of the static pages remain readable without it. Local preferences such as reduced-motion are respected via your browser settings and do not require a Bytesnitch cookie.
